Disney is expanding Walt Disney World with the development of a new Disney Vacation Club property, known as Disney Riviera Resort. This is in addition to a new resort with approx. 300 units which opened in December 2019. Universal Parks & Resorts announced an expansion a few miles from their existing resort which includes a 450-acre development featuring: hotels, restaurants, shops and a new theme park called Universal’s Epic Universe. KPMG opened their new $450 million learning, development and innovation center in Orlando’s Lake Nona community in January 2020. The 55-acre site features: 800 guest rooms, 90 learning spaces, 1,000-seat assembly hall, an ignition center, dining areas, a social venue, and other amenities. Up to 800 KPMG professionals will come to the facility each week for professional development and training. Johnson & Johnson Human Performance Institute’s new global headquarters opened in Mar. 2019. Johnson & Johnson has been a part of the Orlando community for nearly 30 years. A recent $4 billion expansion of passenger rail service by Virgin Trains has begun. The 170-miles of new track to provide service between Orlando and South Florida will generate more than 10,000 jobs in the Orlando area.
